Fragrance: Lemongrass Verbena
Great for all hair types! Our gentle surfactant blend cleans each strand and leaves your hair shiny, soft and clean. The ingredients in Strength are carefully chosen to encourage growth and fortify hair.
Ginger: Stimulates blood flow to the scalp to increase growth
Rice Protein: Made from natural rice bran fiber, rice protein contains high amounts of amino acids to increase total hair volume and strengthen hair.
Argan Oil: From Morocco, the champion of hair oil smooths your hair, protecting it from damage.
Cocoa Butter: We all know of the anti-oxidant and anti-aging benefits of chocolate. Well, cocoa butter has the same ones! High in fatty acids, cocoa butter moisturizes and hydrates the scalp without clogging pores.
Coconut Oil: Coconut oil has high amounts of fatty acids, plus anti-microbial and anti-bacterial properties. It penetrates hair without leaving it feeling heavy or greasy, and adds natural shine.
Panthenol (Pro vitamin B5): Panthenol boosts cell production, which helps to increase the strength of hair.
Lemongrass Verbena Fragrance: A fresh, clean and bright scent with strong lemon and lemongrass notes. Paraben free.
Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate (SCI): SCI is derived from coconuts, and produces a creamy lather that gently cleans and leaves the hair with a soft, silky feel.
Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate (SLSa): Unlike traditional SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate), which can be harsh and irritating, SLSa is a much milder, safer, and gentler alternative. It is also eco-friendly, biodegradable, and doesn’t contribute to water pollution. Derived from coconut or MB palm, SLSa is an effective cleansing agent that doesn’t strip skin or hair of their natural oils. SLSa also creates luxurious, abundant, long lasting lather.

I'm a convert! I was a shampoo and conditioner bar novice, so I was hesitant to try. With the tips listed on the site, I was able to match the lather I get with a typical shampoo. The conditioner bar was equally as easy to use. Afterwards, my hair was noticeably shiny and soft. Also, I love that there is less clutter in my shower and even better, less clutter in the ocean! Win, win - all around! Will definitely buy again!

Star Bars are the best! Great that you can avoid the plastics! My fine hair gets tangled in shampooing. I leave the conditioner on while I finish my shower, then rinse, and I can just comb the snarls out when I’m done. Amazing!

I started using StarBars a few months ago, starting out with the Strength shampoo and conditioner bars. I've always had trouble with the texture of my hair, and this is one of the first shampoos and conditioners that I've really liked--it doesn't leave my hair slimy and flat like so many other conventional products, and I've found that I now really enjoy styling my hair. I'm trying out the Clarity shampoo bar at the moment because I've had longstanding troubles with oily hair, and I love this shampoo as well. In addition to really enjoying how the texture and feel of my hair, the smell of the shampoo and conditioner is really amazing. I've been very impressed with the quality of the products, and would definitely recommend them! As someone that has had a lot of trouble finding cleansing products that work for my hair, I would say that StarBars are a great thing to try. The sustainability component is also great :). Overall, I've been very happy with my experience!
