There's no plastic and nothing that can't go in the compost, the recycling, or the woodstove. Plus, the bars travel well because they can't burst at altitude or set off TSA alarms. I bought a set of Star-Bars as a gift so I cannot provide user results, but I have used solid shampoos for years and will be getting some for myself when I run out of the current stuff with all the icky chemicals.
