How to Use Shampoo and Conditioner Bars
You’ve received your beautiful new shampoo and conditioner bars! But what now?
The first thing to know about your bars is, like any bar of soap, they will melt pretty quickly if left under dripping water. Find a place in your shower where they won’t be constantly pelted with water while the shower is on. Then put them on the wooden tray that was included with your first order.
We made StarBars square because that is the shape that stays together from start to finish. Sometimes rounded bars fall apart when they get near the end of the bar. However, the square edges might feel a little stiff until the bars are used a few times. Don’t worry, as you use your bars they get softer and lather up better.
The easiest way to lather up your shampoo is by rubbing the bar directly on your hair. Once it starts to lather, you will see all the rich creamy suds forming. If you feel like you’re not getting enough lather, wet the bar. Since it contains no water, it actually helps to add more water. If you shampoo a second time, you will see more suds as well.
Rinse well and move on to the conditioner.
Wet the conditioner bar and rub it directly onto your hair, almost like chalking it on. You may not feel like you have enough product on your hair since it doesn’t lather up or feel creamy. But when you rinse it out, it will suddenly feel smooth and slippery like regular conditioner. Rinse, and you’re done!
StarBars conditioners contain ingredients that detangle and protect from heat, so you may not need other leave-in products. They do not contain any silicones or waxes that will cause buildup on your hair, which means your hair will look great from the first day you use them until you run out.
